Cathy Bashaw
Cathy Bashaw holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia where she graduated in 1973.
Cathy has been involved with church music her entire life, directing groups for over 30 years. She was also a music educator in Georgia public schools for 17 years and has taught music work shops for the North Georgia United Methodist Conference and for Georgia Public Schools.
One of Cathy’s passions has been the UMC North Georgia Conference Youth Music Camp where she has accompanied and taught for many years.
Cathy and her husband Lloyd have two daughters; Susan (married to Scott Smith) and Laura. Cathy and Lloyd moved to North Carolina in 2005.
Being a lady of many talents, Cathy has directed adult, youth, children, and hand bell groups. She feels music is a vital part of worship and hopes the Fletcher United Methodist music groups will grow both musically and spiritually for the Glory of God.
