PB & J Club (Pint-sized Believers in Jesus) and

FROGS- (Fourth & Fifth Graders Fully Relying On God) are being combined!

The 4th & 5th graders in FROGS will serve as junior helpers instead of having a separate FROG program this year. We have made a few changes to our groups for younger people this year. PB & J club will now include children up to 5th grade and will not always meet on the 1st Sunday of the month as in the past, but will have a monthly event. Classes meet in the Children’s Wing to the right of the Sanctuary.

Preschool – Teachers are Karen Maxon, Beth Manuel & Staci Witte. Curriculum: "Rock Solid". Bible stories are reinforced through craft activities encouraging children to express their blossoming faith through a creative & fun outlet. Take-home activities bring the Bible story into the child's daily life.
Kindergarten & First Grade - Teachers are Jenny Kling, Sue Merrill with youth assistants Kaley Cross & Elizabeth Baird. Curriculum: "Godly Play". Godly Play is based upon the Montessori learning approach, where children hear Bible stories with 3-D materials. Listeners are invited into the stories and encouraged to connect the stories with their personal experiences.
Second & Third Grade – Teacher is David Moushey. Curriculum: "Buzz". See curriculum description under Fourth & Fifth Grade.
Fourth & Fifth Grade – Teachers are Trent McCain & Lisa and Dale Squires. Curriculum: "Buzz". Buzz offers a strong theological framework about who God is using a multi-sensory approach to learning. Over two years, children learn eight foundational truths about God: He is loving, perfect, forgiving, faithful, real, giving, powerful and good. Every quarter there is a different focus on a different attribute of God through a unique, fun theme and age-appropriate Bible lessons.

Children's Church - Children's church is offered during both services following the children's sermon. During children's church, the children hear the Bible story and apply its meaning at a level they can developmentally understand the lesson.

During the 11:00 children's church, after the Bible lesson, the children participate in Children's Music, singing songs based on the lesson of the day. This children's music time is led by our Children's Choir Director, Kati Swinney. Kati is a gifted musician and singer, having majored in voice at Brevard College. Her angelic voice and love of children combine for a magical time of faith-building through songs during our children's church time.

WOW (Worship on Wednesdays). September - May. Join us for an affordable, healthy meal as you fellowship with others in the church. Children join our Director of Christian Education, for an hour of Bible fun, as we engage in hands-on learning of Bible verses through games, songs, crafts and much more. 6:15-7 pm each Wednesday during the school year.

Children's Choir - Children ages 3 through grade 5 meet as part of the WOW program on Wednesday nights, 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., September through May. 3 years old -1st grade meet with Jeanne Graeme & 2nd - 5th grade with Kati Swinney.

Check out our LIBRARY!! Located beside the church offices, filled with hundreds of faith-based fiction and non-fiction books, DVD's and audiotapes for you & your farmily. Many topics and materials for all ages. Open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Sundays 8:30 - 12:00 p.m.
